CHIEFS RADIO NETWORK ADDS SPORTSCASTER ART HAINS TO 2008 BROADCAST TEAM.

The Chiefs Radio Network has added highly regarded area sportscaster Art Hains to their 2008 broadcast team. Hains will be responsible for anchoring pre-game, halftime, in-game updates and post-game coverage for the Network.

Hains has nearly three decades experience in sportscasting. His extensive background includes hosting the Dallas Cowboys pre-game and post-game shows for radio station KRLD in Dallas. Hains has been the “Voice of the Missouri State Bears” for the past 27 years. He was elected to the Springfield, Missouri Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.

“I have admired Art Hains and his work for a long time” remarked Donna Baker, Market Manager for Cumulus Media Partners, Kansas City. “He is the perfect addition to our outstanding lineup including Mitch Holthus, Len Dawson and Kendall Gammon”.

A native of Marshall, Missouri, Hains is a broadcast journalism graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Hains has been covering the Chiefs on a regular basis while hosting a nightly, two hour sports talk show on Springfield, Missouri station KWTO-FM.

Hains and his wife Lisa, a native of Monett, Missouri, have a son Chris and a daughter Kathleen.

“We are always working diligently to make our ENTIRE broadcast the best in the NFL”, remarked Danny Israel, Executive Producer of the Chiefs Radio Network. “Our listeners and Chiefs fans will be excited when they hear the mixture of new voices with our veteran voices. In addition, there will be many new features on our broadcast that will parallel all of the exciting, new changes that the Chiefs are going through as a team and as a franchise.” Israel added.

For the 19th consecutive year, all Chiefs games will be carried in Kansas City by KCFX Radio “101 the Fox”. The Chiefs Radio Network, with KCFX as its anchor station, extends throughout a seven-state region that includes Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
